Day of Dialogue
An annual event in which community organizations, leaders and
members gather to discuss important and relevant topics in Miami-Dade County.
The Day of Dialogue is an annual event that provides community leaders and CRECER partners a space to identify the needs of the community and develop strategies to address them.
The Day of Dialogue tradition began at Boston College in 2006, when Dr. Guerda Nicolas led the Social Support Research team in Boston College. Days of Dialogue have been conducted with community members ever since to devise concrete plans in which action can be taken.
Events
Miami Workers Center led and hosted the first Day of Dialogue forum on Saturday, March 26, discussing housing opportunities for Black individuals and people of color in South Florida. Day of Dialogue is an annual community driven event that the Challenging Racism and Empowering Communities through Ethnocultural Research (CRECER) team leads in partnership with the Center for Global Black Studies at the University of Miami this year.
