A short story about a successful after school program by students for the maintenance of democracy and the betterment of society. The narrative will emphasize the importance of validating each gift that a student presents by incorporating it in a meaningful way. The Firstshot Project has been a success because students from one end of the spectrum to another are openly welcomed and are cultivated so that they can find a place to thrive.
