He is responsible for engaging and developing relationships with prospective student-athletes, parents and guardians, non-scholastic and scholastic coaches, the high school community, professional sport leagues, and NCAA administrators and coaches. He proactively uses those relationships to provide education to prospective student athletes to remove any barriers on the path to student-athlete eligibility.

Tim has been at the NCAA since 2015. Prior to his arrival at the NCAA, Tim was a basketball coach for 9 years with stops at The University of Alabama and Shelton State Community College. He has been a part of five conference championship teams and has coached more than 25+ All-Conference and six All-American athletes. While coaching at Shelton State Community College, Tim also served as a strategic planner and business developer for the University of Alabama – Birmingham’s Health System for 4.5 years.

A native of Prattville, Al., Tim is a former basketball student-athlete at Shelton State Community College and Jacksonville State University. He completed his bachelor’s in exercise science at Jacksonville State University. Tim earned his master’s in Sports Management and a MBA from The University of Alabama. He graduates Spring 2019 with his doctorate in Global Sport Leadership from East Tennessee State University.
