Sadey Rodriguez
UVA, Student-Athlete, Discus &Co-founder of Green Athletics, founder of ACC Sustainable Student-Athletes, an ACC Sports Sustainability Team liaison, and an Eco-Athletes Champion.

Born and raised in Laredo, Texas, Sadey is now a senior discus thrower at the University of Virginia. In 2019, she joined UVA's Office for Sustainability as a Green Athletics Intern to bridge the gap between athletics operations and university sustainability education. Since then, Sadey has played a lead role in developing student-athlete sustainability education at UVA and across the ACC by organizing and marketing monthly sustainability engagement events and mentoring over 30 student-athletes in sustainability leadership. She is the co-founder of Green Athletics, founder of ACC Sustainable Student-Athletes, an ACC Sports Sustainability Team liaison, and an Eco-Athletes Champion.
