Kayla Henderson is a passionate advocate for empowering athletes to become their best selves and create lasting impact in their own lives, families, and communities. As the Player Engagement Coordinator for the Miami Dolphins, she has spent over a year facilitating the personal and professional growth of athletes off the field. In this role, Kayla focuses on supporting players' development, ensuring they are equipped to thrive both within and outside of their athletic careers.

Before joining the Dolphins, Kayla spent 5 years in the collegiate space where she had stints at the University of Washington and Clemson University. At Clemson, she served as the Assistant Director for Student-Athlete Development at Clemson University, where she oversaw Career Development & Employer Relations for the Tigers. She worked closely with student-athletes to enhance their professional readiness and foster relationships with employers and connect their passions to their purpose.

A 2016 graduate of the University of Wyoming with a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Kayla was also a four-year letterwinner for the university's volleyball program. She went on to earn an MBA and a Masters in Sports Business Management from the University of Central Florida in 2018, where she was also a Graduate Assistant for the Institute for Sport & Social Justice. A native of Marietta, Georgia, Kayla has been involved in sports throughout her life and is thrilled to be in her dream role with the Dolphins. Her career reflects a deep commitment to helping athletes maximize their potential and create meaningful impact both on and off the field.
