Derek Wingo is the Director of NIL at Rosenhaus Sports Representation, where he oversees athlete branding, partnerships, and strategic communication in the rapidly expanding “Name, Image, and Likeness” space. His background in advertising, journalism, broadcasting, and broadcast journalism strengthens his ability to elevate athlete visibility and guide them through modern media and marketing landscapes.
Raised in Fort Lauderdale, Wingo attended St. Thomas Aquinas High School, earning the 2019–20 Gatorade Florida Football Player of the Year award and competing in the U.S. Army All-American Bowl. He initially committed to Penn State before signing with the University of Florida, where he played football for five seasons and was named a multi‑time team captain for his leadership.
During his time at UF, Wingo earned a bachelor’s degree in Education Sciences and was a four‑time member of the SEC Fall Academic Honor Roll. He was also a semifinalist for the Wuerffel Trophy and named to the SEC Community Service Team, reflecting his commitment to service and character.
Off the field, Wingo has participated in international service trips to Greece, South Africa, and Japan. He also launched the Wingin’ It with Wingo podcast, featuring guests such as Billy Napier, DJ Lagway, and Xavier Restrepo. His journey is defined by versatility, loyalty, and leadership—qualities he now brings to his work supporting athletes in the NIL era.
