Biography

Ms. Racette is from St. Louis, Missouri. Before working on her doctoral studies, she earned her Master of Science in Nutrition & Dietetics and completed her dietetic internship to become a Registered Dietitian. Sophia is working with Dr. Perry on developing the nutrition science curriculum for underserved youth in the THINK program with special attention to socio-cultural differences in food preferences and eating habits. Sophia is a part of the SEHD EPIC grant integrating physical, psychological and educational well-being in a novel curriculum targeting underserved middle school adolescents. In her free time, she enjoys running, cycling, and spending time outside with family and friends.
