Biography

Nastasia Schreiner is originally from Montreal, Canada. She worked as a special education teacher for 3 years in an alternative high school for students with emotional/behavioral disorders (EBD) and learning disabilities. She is currently a second-year student in the Special Education doctoral program and is interested in best practices for students with EBD, specifically social emotional learning (SEL), as well as teacher preparation and teacher education. Nastasia has worked on several projects in the CEWRC, including (i) Exploring Equity in STEM Education and Community; (ii) financial literacy curricula, and most recently, (iii) Classrooms of Tomorrow: Teacher, Student, and Community Well-Being (an educator professional development curriculum). In her free time, Nastasia loves spending time outdoors and running half-marathons!
