Biography

Joseph is from Miami, Florida. He earned his Bachelor's and Master's and is currently working on his Ph.D. at the University of Miami. He is working with Dr. Arlette Perry on the Translational Health in Nutrition & Kinesiology (THINK) program, specifically on the physical literacy component of the program and the infusion of physical activities that can be interfaced with the nutrition and exercise science curriculum. In addition to his work on the THINK grant, Mr. Bonner will also be leading the Vascular Marker's project designed to evaluate the impact of adiposity and fat distribution on vascular markers of cardiac risk in a multi-racial population of postmenopausal women. In his free time, he enjoys being physically active and doing community service. Mr. Bonner also serves within UM student leadership as the Graduate Student Association President and Student Trustee on the Board of Trustees.
