The Community and Educational Well-Being Research Center (CEW) has as its purpose the creation of new knowledge and the training of the next generation of leaders, researchers and change agents in the field of Community and Educational Well-Being. Sponsored by the Dunspaugh-Dalton Foundation, and housed at the University of Miami’s School of Education, the CEW is committed to promoting individual, interpersonal, institutional, and community well-being. We do this by studying the educational, psychological, physical, and social determinants of well-being, by training leaders in these areas, and by building capacity in the community for risk prevention and transformational practices.
This web site is intended to provide a resource and portal to not only our various activities, but to research and practice in the field of community well-being. It is our purpose to establish an international clearing house where individuals from the general public, practitioners and specialized researchers interested in issues of interpersonal, institutional and community well-being can come and gain access to information, experts and participate in the exchange of ideas and innovations.

CEW recently hosted the Conference on Immigrant Families and more than 100 academics, researchers, community leaders, and opinion makers packed the Newman Alumni Center at the University of Miami for the 16th annual Council on Contemporary Families Conference.
