Anonymous Teacher Shines Light on Poor Quality School Lunches

Mrs. Q Undercover – Anonymous Teacher Shines Light on Poor Quality School Lunches. (2010, May 25).

Good Morning America covered a story on childhood obesity and the lack of nutrition within school lunches. A teacher, who wishes to remain anonymous, began a blog after forgetting her lunch and eating the school lunch. Mrs. Q shares her experiences and thoughts, which were extremely eye opening to the public. She stated that she “knows bad food when she sees it.”

The accidental movement was stands for taking out processed, unhealthy food and replacing it with more natural, nourishing food for students. Many of Mrs. Q’s students are on free-and-reduced lunch, and due to the fact that the food was so bad, they didn’t eat a good bit of what was being served at school. She also discovered that most foods weren’t even cooked in the kitchen; it was merely processed ready to serve food. Her blog reached thousands of followers and started a food revolution. Now is the time for change with school nutrition, and school districts need to make this a priority for their students.
