Sophia has been an outstanding student in the School of Education and Human Development. Sophia has been on the President’s Honor Roll, studied abroad at the American University of Rome, and maintained an overall GPA of 3.95 while double majoring in Community and Applied Psychological Studies, and History; and minoring in Spanish. In addition to her academic achievements, Sophia has been a very active student in the community. She has worked with a number of local non-profit organizations including Educate Tomorrow, which aims to provide equal education opportunities to youth in Miami-Dade and Kristi House, a children’s advocacy center focused on providing comprehensive services for child victims of abuse and their families. She has also completed two internships in the Human Resources field and worked with young children in educational settings as a teacher’s assistant.
