Stephani Burton is an Assistant Professor of Professional Practice in the Department of Teaching and Learning. She graduated from Boston College with a Ph.D. in Language, Literacy, and Culture. Dr. Burton is a former Boston Public Schools teacher and her research examines how education policies impact diverse learners from historically marginalized backgrounds.
Dr. Burton’s work is published in The Routledge International Handbook of Teacher Quality and Policy and The European Journal of Teacher Education. She is a co-author of the book, Reclaiming Accountability in Teacher Education.
