Abstract

In this project, Dr.Evans and his team join with community partners to implement a Hybrid Affordable Housing and Urban Garden Project Plan, designed by and for the residents of Liberty City, by: 1) building community power through leadership development in order to transform housing policy and practice; and, 2) acquiring or transforming blighted land for conversion into a model Community Land Trust consisting of hybrid green and affordable housing spaces that will host food justice and wellness activities focused on creating health equity. The team is a full partner in the project and also serves as lead evaluators.
