We at the SEHD are proud of the Transformative Research by one of our Ph.D students in our Teaching and Learning (TAL) Department. Edgar Diaz, and Matt DeRoo, Assistant Professor in TAL has research titled: “Latinxs in contention: A systemic functional linguistic analysis of 11th-grade U.S. history textbooks” which was published in the Spring 2020 issue of Theory & Research in Social Education.
