Dr. Brian Biagioli currently serves as the Graduate Program Director for Strength and Conditioning in the Department of Kinesiology and Sport Science at the University of Miami. Dr. Biagioli has authored three college text books; most recently the foremost book on advanced sports performance to support the graduate work being performed at the University of Miami. The Strength and Conditioning/Fitness Entrepreneurship program, which he established in 2009, is one of the fastest growing programs within the School of Education and Human Development. The number of applicants increases each year as does recognition both on a national and international level. The program has successfully attained Educational Recognition by the National Strength and Conditioning Association since 2011. Dr. Biagioli remains very active in the sports and fitness industry, presently serving on four national committees and an international certifying body that are related to standard setting, education accreditation, population engagement in physical activity, as well driving national legislation to improving certification standards within in the profession in the United States. Dr. Biagioli fervently encourages students in his program to be involved in campus organizations, and leads by example as he is the Graduate Advisor to UPERFORMANCE and UWeightlifting; he can also be found on the Intramural fields participating in the organizational sporting activities with his students.

The students in his graduate program not only benefit from one the most innovative minds in strength and conditioning, but also through his global network that Dr. Biagioli has established through presenting internationally at Universities and different sport conferences such as Fiba, including lectures in Argentina, Turkey, Ukraine and at the Olympic training center in Korea. Through the avenues he has established within the industry, Dr. Biagioli has helped students obtain professional career positions throughout the different levels of sport ranging from the high school level to professional and national level sport teams. He has also mentored solo endeavors as well as a collective of students that aspired to, and have successfully established fitness based businesses. Sports and fitness are not the only opportunities Dr. Biagioli has helped provide his students, as he has had two students the past two years that have been accepted to doctoral programs in the field of exercise physiology.
