Coral Gables, FL – On Friday, July 8, the Practice Improvement Network (PIN) held its inaugural meeting to begin the efforts of their two-year collaboration funded by the Health Foundation of South Florida aimed at improving mental health care services in underserved communities. In attendance were members from four community agencies/stakeholders that, along with the CEW-RC, comprise the PIN: Banyan Health Systems, Center for Family and Child Enrichment, Camillus Health Concern, and the Fellowship House. CEW-RC Director Dr. Daniel Santisteban as well as Dr. Maite Mena and Raha Forooz Sabet from the CEW-RC were also in attendance. The goal of this collaborative initiative is to build capacity across these organizations to provide frontline, evidenced-based treatments to underserved communities in South Florida. The CEW-RC is very excited about this project and the opportunity to work with the aforementioned agencies.
